The grand opening was on Saturday, April 7, 2017 at 10AM. Talbots held a grand opening weekend celebration from April 7-9. Shoppers were able to enjoy 25% off regular price purchases and enter to win a $100 gift card.

New Grocery Store to Be Built at Hingham Shipyard

Trader Joe's will be the newest supermarket to open in Hingham.

The specialty grocery store will open at the Hingham Shipyard across the street from the Hingham Stop & Shop and just a short walk down the road from Fresh Market.

Leslie Cohen, Senior Vice President of Development for Samuels & Associates said the new grocery store will be built in the parking area between the CVS and the Vitamin Shoppe.

Cohen said construction is set to begin in mid March. The opening date has not been announced.

Trader Joe's will be the fifth grocery store to open in Hingham joining Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, the Fruit Center Marketplace and Fresh Market.

Trader Joe's has over a dozen other locations in the state, including one in nearby Hanover.
